Picasso Museum in Antibes, France

It was literally across the street—and down one block—from our apartment in Antibes. We couldn’t believe we were that close to the Picasso Museum during our month and a half in the south of France.

Walking to its door, this was one of its beautiful views.

Set inside the Chateau Grimaldi, there’s a storied history.

Out on the terrace, how could one not be drawn to the art?

I wanted to hold this. And that view of the Cap d’Antibes.

Pots and trees were gathered about.

Nooks were art, all on their own.

And then we saw Picasso’s.

I was so grateful to see the beauty.

I tried to envision what it might have been like for Picasso. And his tiny owl.

This simplicity, we were drawn to.

We were not alone.
