Washington's Pacific Coast Scenic Byway (A Road Trip)
I didn’t know I would be taking a road trip along the most western portion of Washington’s Pacific Coast Scenic Byway until it began. I had ordered a large item from Oregon, then realized I should actually pick it up in Oregon. Since summer is here, it seemed wisest to take a beautiful route to Oregon that would also ensure the least amount of traffic. So we began this road trip near the Olympic National Forest and drove down through Forks, Quinalt, Humptulips, Aberdeen, and Raymond, then across the Columbia River to Astoria, Oregon. It was as if there were only a few cars on the road. And it was so beautiful that I could understand why one might want to continue down the Oregon coast, the California coast, all the way to Mexico.
