The Stanford Inn (B and B) in Mendocino, California
While visiting Mendocino, California, I had to stop by the renowned Stanford Inn. A hotel, a bed and breakfast, a wellness retreat, and a farm. I went there to dine.
I'd learned about the Stanford Inn while researching vegan vacations, but I wasn’t sure I’d ever be lucky enough to visit.
Just over the bridge and down the road from Mendocino's heart, I was so grateful to make my way to the Stanford Inn and their in-house organic plant-based vegan restaurant serving meals to hotel guests and to the local community (gf options were on the menu).
I thought we would only treat ourselves once to their full sit-down breakfast. But we returned three times. I could not resist.
The staff, the grounds, the cute little raccoon family rattling around, the rustic zen-like lodge energy, the fireplace, the meaningful books, and the satiating food (including exquisite breakfast potatoes!) were all so soothing to my senses.
Eating there felt meditative. Being on the grounds felt meditative. I’m still savoring it all.
