Vegan Restaurants in London (With Gluten-Free Options)
I want to share this curated list of all the vegan restaurants I’ve found in London, England (with gluten-free options). These are the eateries I wish I’d known about before my last trip to London.
In contrast, the photo above shows how I ate during my last trip to London—at any eatery I happened to walk past that offered at least one (gluten-free) vegan menu item.
However, I needed more. Much more.
I really enjoy exploring hearty and beautiful food menus comprised of 100% vegan food. I want to experience delicious climate-friendly mealtime adventures.
And I want it to be super easy to find these eateries. On the go.
So the vegan restaurant experiences listed below are vast—from vegan fast food to wholesome plant-based vegan nourishment, to a Michelin-Star experience beyond my comprehension.
I’ve included each restaurant's website link below, as well as their Google Maps link, so one can easily…
view customer food photos on Google Maps
save each restaurant on Google Maps
walk to each restaurant per Google Maps directions
In addition, for the restaurants I’m most drawn to, I’ve bolded a descriptive word below (next to their Google Maps link), showing how they resonate with me.
Of course, there are even more vegan food options in London than those I’ve listed. But this list is special because these are 100% vegan restaurants that also offer gluten-free options.
I’m deeply grateful to all restaurants that are dedicated to creating this kinder world—a more sustainable life on earth for all living individuals and our precious planet.
And, as always, I love that anyone can choose this climate-friendly and cruelty-free food wherever one goes. This is one of the quickest ways for everyone to travel and live sustainably.

“Opening 123V, vegan Chef Alexis Gauthier wanted to create a restaurant experience where everyone would feel welcome, and looked to move casual dining into a plant-based future.
“There are no rules - no nations, no borders. We see the new vegan world as one. The most creative and exciting Sushi, the tastiest, most comforting Burgers, the freshest most delicious Salads all fight for attention on one super-fun menu.
“123V is vegan for the animals. ‘We're here on a compassionate mission. We believe that all animals deserve to live hopeful and free.’
“If the world is to move intelligently into the new century, is is clear that humans eating animal products must eventually be eliminated. But for people to be convinced to change, the world needs delicious plant-based food. We're here to help that happen”

“Our food is low-fat, low-salt, non-GM and organic where possible. We never deep-fry or microwave.
“All dishes are 100% vegan. Gluten-free, except where stated.

Cafe Van Gogh
“We're a not for profit social enterprise … a community interest company … our social purpose is stronger than our drive to make tonnes of cash. It's important to us that we consider all of our business decisions, and make the right ethical choices, for our local community, the environment, our staff and our customers.
“We work in conjunction with Toucan Employment, a leading learning disability employment charity, to run a programme of on-the-job training for people with additional challenges in life, such as a learning disability or a mental health problem to provide them with the support and confidence to seek paid employment. We also provide paid employment opportunities to these delegates if the opportunity arises.
“All of our takeaway containers and coffee cups are fully compostable. We recycle our food waste, it's all taken away to be composted rather than sent to landfill.
“To summarise, you can be sure that when you use our cafe, you are contributing to social good.
“We are a fully licensed cafe and have a range of vegan beers, cocktails and wines available.
“Please do let us know, before ordering, if you are allergic to anything. For more complex/ multiple allergies do get in touch via email at least 2 days prior to your booking and we will do our utmost to accommodate you.”

Club Mexicana
“Tacos, nachos, burritos...like you've never seen before! Topped off with our famous frozen margaritas & the absolute best vibes.
“Club Mexicana began as a Saturday night supper club in a Hackney cafe- a 3 course taco feast accompanied by our Wham! records, blow up flamingos, and LOTS of tequila.
“We moved from supper club to street food and started smashing it on the London scene with the likes of Street Feast & KERB.
“After several summers slinging thousands of tacos at UK's biggest music festivals, we secured our first permanent home at KERB's Seven Dials Market. The biggest & best of its kind!
“In August 2020 we opened our first 'proper' restaurant in Soho's fave foodie community: Kingly Court.”

Gauthier Soho
“In June 2021, I reopened Gauthier Soho as a 100% vegan restaurant.
“As human beings, our personal impact on the planet and towards the animals we share this world is more and more a daily discussion. What we choose to eat and drink is our own decision, and choosing plant-based is the most direct and powerful action you can make to directly affect the world more positively.
“At Gauthier Soho I have decided to dedicate my kitchen’s creativity to helping form a new French gastronomy, through the classical techniques I was lucky enough to learn in my training. The only difference is I now choose to work without animal products.
“In order for the world to begin healing itself we need to accept what global science is now agreed on. One of these harsh truths is there is no such thing as sustainable meat, fish or dairy.
“So I am proud to say that Gauthier Soho is the world’s first primary sustainable gastronomic restaurant, meaning that our carbon footprint is naturally very low because of the ingredients we choose to use (and more importanly, choose not use).
“I am so proud of my team and so happy to have such wonderful customers, old and new, who have decided to invest their lunches and dinners with us, weddings, anniversaries, dates, celebrations of all kinds. And more unexpectedly is the corporate world which has been so ahead of the game in demanding sustainable plant-based events and parties to demonstrate its willingness to operate compassionately. A really happy surprise. Thank you.
“I look forward to welcoming you all … the best is yet to come, and I’ve never been so excited to be a chef.”

Jam Delish
“Jam Delish is an independent family-owned Caribbean vegan restaurant and cocktail bar.
“Founded in 2020 by siblings Jordan and Chyna, their idea was one that came purely from their desire to bring their grandparents authentic, traditional Caribbean recipes from their family home to the London food scene, with a fresh and modern take, inspired by their own upbringing in a vegan household.
“Fusing their love for plant-based food with their Caribbean roots, they identified a niche gap in the market for authentic, Modern Caribbean Vegan Cuisine.
“With five-star reviews across the board from both customers and food critics alike, the siblings have now opened their first ever flagship restaurant and cocktail bar in the heart of Angel, Islington.”

Naifs:
“The main offering at Naïfs is a seasonal set meal that takes inspiration from multi dish dinners such as Greek meze. It is a relaxed table of food to be shared family style, with appetisers and desserts that can be added on as extras.
“Our food showcases the abundance and beauty found in plants, pulses, and thoughtfully made products. Dishes are produce led and designed to go together.
“Our drinks focus on natural and biodynamic wines & ciders, low abv beers and handcrafted botanical cocktails. In the softs you will find in-house kombucha, cold brew teas and homemade sodas.
”Naïfs is warm, relaxed … a hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle - and the dining experience is simple. Come in and we will feed you! Leaving you free to enjoy yourself and your time at our restaurant.
“Everything is created from the ground up with love and care from a small family team.
“Please let us know as early as possible if you have any dietary requirements. We may not be able to cater to specific needs due to the small size of the kitchen and style of menu.”
And Naifs told me: “We are able to do the menu entirely GF if you let us know in advance … some substitutions … but the menu is about 80% gluten free as it is. If you decide to book, just let us know in the comments that you require a GF menu.”

Plants by DE (Deliciously Ella)
“Deliciously Ella was originally intended to be a personal project, a way to encourage myself to fall in love with plant-based food and make healthy eating delicious.
“From day one I knew that I never wanted to compromise on taste—flavour, abundance and excitement had to sit at the heart of every meal.
“Over the next year I learnt to cook, photograph, and document what I was creating, and quickly found a deep passion for the incredibly positive impact that natural, plant-based food was having on my health.
“I met my now husband, and our CEO, Matt, shortly after my first book was published, and we started talking about taking Deliciously Ella further. We wanted to share, on scale, the benefits we had experienced from plant-based food and greater focus on holistic wellness.
“Our first venture was opening a cafe in London, so that we could bring our food to life and create a space for our community to enjoy.
“We’re only getting started on our journey, but our core purpose has remained the same from when I wrote my first recipe, which is to share delicious ways for people to feel better.”

Purezza Vegan Pizza:
“Obsessive about ingredients, meticulous about preparation, and passionate about sustainability. We look forward to feeding you our environmentally-conscious, plant-based menu. 100% animal-free plant proud.
“51 per cent of worldwide greenhouse-gas emissions can be attributed to animal agriculture, specifically to cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, camels and pigs which are raised and killed for food.
“At Purezza, we aim to replicate traditional Italian cuisine, allowing you to enjoy the same food tastes, with significantly less emissions.
“Try our pizza GLUTEN FREE.
“Award winning gluten free sourdough and a huge range of gluten free sides and desserts makes eating gluten free easy at Purezza.
“In fact, 98% of our menu is gluten free or optionally gluten free. Most dishes are gluten free by default, and easy tweaks mean we can turn most of the menu gluten free without any compromise on flavour.
“We’ve developed our own gluten free dough, called Freedom Dough. This careful blend of a variety of flours creates a gluten free sourdough that rivals our regular dough – in fact, most people can’t taste the difference. Gorgeously soft, a little chewy, and perfectly fluffy.
“All pizzas come with gluten free toppings as standard, so it’s simply a case of switching our regular wholegrain sourdough base for the gluten free variant – the pizza is yours to enjoy, with no compromise.
“Our takeaway packaging is made from either cardboard or sugarcane pulp, which is a fibrous material left behind in the sugarcane harvesting process … no single-use plastics.
“Don’t forget to look down! Our banquet seats are made with innovative plant-based leather, crafted using recycled plastic bottles … from our soap, to our toilet paper … coffee cups … to our range of milks … the paint we use … our napkins … uniforms. We ensure that sustainability runs throughout the breadth and depth of Purezza.”

Spice Box:
“Grace grew up cooking and eating Indian food, mainly thanks to her Great Aunt Dolly. When she was finally old enough to visit India herself, she fell in love with the country, the people and the food. She has returned every year since, visiting the homes of generous hosts and learning as much as she can about Indian cooking from the true masters of the subject—home cooks. Grace owes everything she knows to these exceptionally talented people who have taken time to teach her their craft.
“After a brief spell as a tech entrepreneur in Silicon Valley, Grace realised the ‘tech dream’ wasn’t for her and decided focus on her true passion—Indian food. She came back to London, and turned her front door into a takeaway called SpiceBox. Word quickly spread and she was asked to sell her famous curries at some of London’s top street food markets.
“Through a twist of fate and good luck, she met Alpesh, who had … experience running restaurants. With Alpesh now on-board, Grace decided to pack away the gazebo and welly boots and set up shop for real – the rest is spicy history.
“At SpiceBox we take looking after planet and people very seriously.
“We work with First Mile recycling to make sure we recycle as much of our waste as possible. Anything we can’t recycle is converted into energy.
“Our tiffin club swaps out our (recyclable) foil boxes for re-usable metal tiffins, saving on waste and the carbon footprint that comes with single-use packaging.
“We believe in working with nature rather than against it. We think organic farming is awesome and are in the process of shifting many of our menu items to organic. This may take some time, so bare with us!
“We support our team members in taking care of their body and mind through a monthly wellness allowance and structured mental health support.”
