A Sanctuary
Near the beginning of September, we arrived at a personal sanctuary. To help. To support. An elderly cat was involved. We were in awe. We were finally where we’d promised to be, to connect and discuss. To learn through meaningful and difficult conversation. To ponder. To grow. To change bandages. To support life. However, to respect privacy, I don't have photos of the truly stunning sanctuary we were invited into. I do have a few photos of the nature that surrounded us on one of our walks. And I must note that the most meaningful part of our visit occurred after I finished sharing (yet again) just how exquisite and healing I found their personal sanctuary to be. That was when a mutual friend touchingly noted … it is the individual who is the sanctuary.
