Port Townsend, Washington (in June)

In June, we found ourselves back in Port Townsend, Washington. A cool breeze with plenty of sunshine greeted us and it was one of the most pleasant June embraces I’ve experienced.

We had quite a few responsibilities in the region, so we darted in, out, and around Port Townsend whenever possible, heading elsewhere to tackle our obligations.

While doing so, we took the Washington State Ferry system more than once. The Port Townsend/Coupeville and the Edmonds/Kingston routes were relied upon.

We stayed at and enjoyed the Fort Worden Historical State Park, transported through the Fort Worden event scene more than once, and loved hanging out at Point Hudson.

Chetzemoka Park is one of my favorite local parks, easily (centrally) accessible on foot from just about anywhere in Port Townsend, including from the beach.

A weekly trip to the local Farmer’s Market was a must. The Food Co-Op, Aldrich’s, Banana Leaf, and Owl Spirit Cafe were reliably there to feed us delicious gluten-free vegan food, too.

We also checked out the local live music and special events in Port Townsend, with Discover Port Townsend, Enjoy Port Townsend, and the Port Townsend Scene sharing calendar details.

Sometimes the best medicine is strolling through Port Townsend, Washington.
